Chapter 19 - The Last Cipher

The wedding was small, quiet, and private, held on the ocean cliffside behind the estate. Evelyn wore a simple white lace dress, and Sophie served as the flower girl, dropping yellow rose petals along the aisle while giggling uncontrollably.
That evening, as the sun set in brilliant shades of purple and gold, Thomas walked up to Victor’s study holding an unmarked black courier envelope.
"This arrived twenty minutes ago via courier from Bern," Thomas said, his face grave. "It bypassed all our security filters."
Victor’s smile faded. He opened the envelope. Inside was a single piece of heavy parchment and a high-resolution genetic scan.
Evelyn walked into the room, holding a sleepy Sophie in her arms. "Victor? What is it?"
Victor handed her the letter.
Written in dark, elegant calligraphy were three lines:
Project EOS was never about six children. It was about the six thousand. Welcome to the family, Sister.
Evelyn’s heart stopped. She looked at the attached genetic scan. It was a global map dotted with thousands of red markers—each marker representing a child carrying the same modified neural strain scattered across every major city in the world.
And at the bottom of the page was a recent photograph taken just two days ago in London.
