Chapter 7 - The True Heir of Whitmore“I wasn’t just a housekeeper,” Elena said, stepping forward as the security guards shifted uneasily under her gaze. “For the past ten years, while you were busy embezzling funds from the Whitmore Corporation through offshore shell companies, someone was quietly buying up your corporate debt.”

Richard’s face drained of color. His eyes widened in sudden, creeping panic. “That’s... that’s impossible. Only the board’s majority stakeholder has access to those acquisition files!”
“And who do you think owns the majority stake of Whitmore Corp?” a crisp, authoritative voice boomed from the dark driveway behind the security guards.
Everyone spun around.
Headlights pierced the heavy rain as a convoy of black tactical vehicles swept through the estate gates, their sirens silent but their high-beams blinding. Armed federal agents and corporate security executives poured out of the vehicles, their weapons instantly training on Richard and his hired thugs.
At the front of the convoy walked Arthur Whitmore—Emily’s ailing, powerful billionaire father, who was supposed to be bedridden in Florida. He stepped out of a sleek town car, flanked by federal prosecutors and local state troopers, looking healthier and deadlier than he had in years.
“Dad?!” Emily gasped in disbelief.
Arthur ignored the rain, his eyes locked with burning fury onto his treacherous son-in-law. “You thought you could poison me, isolate my daughter, and steal my empire, Richard? You underestimated the loyalty of the people who actually built this company.”

Arthur looked past Richard, his gaze falling upon Elena. A deep, profound wave of emotion washed over the elderly billionaire’s face. He removed his hat, his hands trembling. “Elena... thirty-one years ago, they told us our baby didn’t survive the hospital fire. But you never stopped believing.”
Elena nodded, tears of vindication shining in her eyes. “I found our daughter, Arthur. And we just caught her husband red-handed trying to murder her.”
