Chapter 25 - The True PartnerThat evening, the Boston sky was painted in brilliant strokes of violet and gold.

Emma stood on the private rooftop terrace of her penthouse overlooking the harbor, wrapped in a warm cashmere shawl. The legal ghost of Ethan Walker had finally, permanently been excised from her life.
She heard the soft slide of the glass terrace door opening. Marcus stepped out into the cool evening air, carrying two glasses of vintage champagne.

Emma’s heart gave a sudden, powerful flutter. She looked up into his dark, earnest eyes.

"What do you want to be, Marcus?" she asked softly.
"Your partner," he said, reaching out to gently take her hand. "In every sense of the word. If you'll have me."
