Within minutes, federal cyber-units mobilized across three states. Flight logs from O'Hare International Airport and regional private airstrips were cross-referenced with visitor logs from the federal penitentiary.
The name popped up within the hour: Arthur Pendelton. A high-powered corporate attorney known for representing offshore wealth management funds, and—as federal records soon revealed—Jonathan Miller’s primary legal counsel during his original trial twenty-five years ago.
"Pendelton didn't just represent him back then; he was the architect of the entire identity-theft network," Vance said, his jaw tight as he packed his tactical gear into his case. "And right now, Pendelton is scheduled on a private Gulfstream flight departing from Milwaukee bound for Zurich in less than three hours."

"We have to stop that plane," I said firmly, grabbing my jacket. "I didn't come this far to watch him slip through a legal loophole from a jail cell."
"We won't just stop the plane, Sarah," Vance replied, a grim smile touching the corner of his mouth. "We’re going to ground it with a federal warrant for international racketeering and conspiracy."
