Chapter 19 - THE FAMILY REUNITED

The hangar fell into a profound, heavy silence, broken only by the whistling of the coastal wind.
Michael didn't look at Julian. He sprinted across the concrete, dropped to his knees beside the cot, and pulled Lily into his arms, crushing her against his chest as hot tears finally spilled over his lashes.
“I’ve got you, my sweet girl. I’ve got you,” Michael choked out, kissing her forehead over and over. “You’re safe. I’m never letting you go.”
Sarah rushed over, her zip-ties having been swiftly sliced by Marcus, and threw her arms around both of them, burying her face in Michael’s shoulder.
“You came back,” Sarah sobbed, her voice trembling. “You gave up the merger... you gave up everything for us.”
“I didn't give up anything, Sarah,” Michael whispered, holding them both so tight as if afraid they would vanish like mist. “An empire is just glass and steel. You two are my entire world.”

Marcus stepped into the center of the room, dragging the unconscious Julian toward the federal transport waiting outside. “The FBI’s regional unit is locking down the perimeter, Boss. Julian’s going away for the rest of his natural life. No bail, no appeals.”
Michael nodded without looking back, standing up while holding Lily in one arm and keeping his other arm securely wrapped around Sarah’s waist.
