Chapter 27 - Dawn Over the EstateThe sun was just beginning to peek over the horizon as our convoy pulled back through the iron gates of the Caldwell estate. The air smelled of salt, pine, and absolute freedom.

Old Thomas was waiting on the grand marble steps, holding a fresh cup of coffee. As I stepped out of the vehicle, the old groundskeeper looked into my eyes and saw what every enemy had failed to realize: the battle was finally, truly over.
"Is it done, Madam?" Thomas asked softly.
"It's finished," I replied, taking the coffee cup. "Every threat, every hidden ghost, every parasite trying to feed off this family's history has been swept away."
"What are your orders for today?"

I looked out over the sprawling, beautiful estate—the gardens, the restored sanctuary, the endless green lawns that stretched toward the horizon.
"No more corporate warfare, Thomas," I said with a peaceful, genuine smile. "Today, we start living."
