Chapter 10 - A New DawnThe morning sun cast a warm, golden glow across the manicured lawn of the suburban house. The air smelled of fresh grass and autumn rain.

Arthur stood on the front porch, watching Maya and Leo chase a golden retriever puppy across the backyard grass, their joyous laughter echoing through the neighborhood. The charges against him had been dropped within hours of the federal raid, and the court had officially granted him permanent, unconditional custody of the children, alongside full legal ownership of the house restored to his name.
A sleek black sedan pulled up quietly to the curb. A federal prosecutor stepped out, walking up the driveway with a manila folder in his hands.
"Mr. Vance," the prosecutor greeted respectfully, offering a firm handshake. "I just wanted to drop off the final asset recovery paperwork. Victoria Sterling and her father have been denied bail. The trial begins next month, and given the volume of digital evidence your team provided, a maximum sentence is all but guaranteed."
"Thank you," Arthur said simply, taking the folder. "I just want my family to have peace."
"You've more than earned it," the prosecutor smiled, nodding toward the children before turning back to his vehicle.
Arthur watched the car drive away, then looked back at Maya and Leo. Leo ran up the porch steps, holding up a bright red tennis ball with a wide, gap-toothed grin.
"Uncle Arthur, come play with us!" Leo yelled excitedly.
Arthur smiled, a deep, genuine warmth spreading through his chest. The nightmare was finally over. The shadows in the house were gone, replaced entirely by the bright, unstoppable light of a brand new beginning.

"I'm coming!" Arthur called out, stepping off the porch and running out to join them.
