Chapter 10 - Home at LastThe auditorium of the St. Jude Academy for the Visually Impaired was filled with the soft, gentle murmur of parents, teachers, and children.

In the front row sat Roberto, Arthur, and MarÃa.
The stage lights glowed warmly, illuminating a polished mahogany grand piano. The audience fell silent as a small figure in a simple white dress walked onto the stage, guided gently by her music instructor to the piano bench.
It was SofÃa.
She sat down, adjusted her posture, and rested her small hands gracefully over the ivory keys. She couldn't see the hundreds of people watching her, she couldn't see the lights, and she couldn't see the flowers lining the stage.
None of that mattered.
Her fingers began to move across the keyboard, gentle at first, then swelling into a rich, resonant melody that filled every corner of the room. It was a song of resilience, of quiet strength, and of unyielding light breaking through the darkest shadows.
Roberto sat in the front row, his arm resting comfortably around Arthur’s shoulders, while MarÃa beamed proudly beside them.
As the final, beautiful chord echoed through the auditorium and faded into silence, the room erupted into thunderous applause.
SofÃa stood up, bowing gracefully toward the center of the room, a radiant, confident smile lighting up her face. She couldn't see her father standing in the front row cheering louder than anyone else, but she didn't need to.
She could feel his footsteps in the room.
And for the first time in her life, the house was no longer just a mansion built by wealth and guarded by fear.

It was truly, finally, a home.
