Chapter 25 - A New Beginning for St. Jude AcademyTwo weeks later, the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the newly expanded St. Jude Academy for the Visually Impaired took place under a brilliant autumn sky.

The courtyard was packed with journalists, teachers, donors, and dozens of smiling children. At the center of the stage stood a magnificent bronze monument of a mother and child, funded entirely through the newly reclaimed Sterling-Silva philanthropic foundation.

Roberto stood at the podium, adjusting the microphone. He looked out over the crowd, seeing María and Arthur sitting in the front row, and caught a glimpse of Sofía standing proudly beside her music instructor, wearing a matching blue dress.

"For a long time," Roberto began, his voice steady, resonant, and carrying across the courtyard, "I believed that protecting the people you love meant building walls. I thought wealth, security systems, and isolation could keep the darkness of the world outside."

He paused, glancing down at Sofía, who smiled brightly toward the sound of his voice.

"I was wrong," Roberto continued, a warm smile breaking across his face. "True protection isn't about hiding from the storm. It’s about building a foundation so strong, so full of love and presence, that no storm can ever tear it down."

Thunderous applause erupted from the crowd, echoing into the clear blue sky.
