Chapter 12 - The Secret VaultRoberto didn't panic. Panic was for men who didn't build empires out of blood and iron.

He handed the note to Arthur, turned on his flashlight app, and strode briskly toward his private study, his mind racing. If Viktor Vance had breached the estate's primary server, it wasn't just to send a threatening letter. He was looking for something specific—something hidden deep within the mansion's legacy.
"MarÃa!" Roberto called out sharply as he crossed the hallway.
MarÃa appeared from the kitchen corridor, holding a flashlight of her own, her face etched with immediate worry. "Mr. Silva? What happened to the power?"
"Take SofÃa to the safe room in the basement immediately," Roberto ordered, his voice laced with absolute command. "Lock the reinforced door and do not open it for anyone—not even me—unless I give you the secret passphrase we agreed upon last week. Understand?"
MarÃa nodded firmly, her eyes fierce with maternal resolve. "I've got her, sir. Go."
Roberto sprinted into his study. The digital screens were completely dead, but the manual override panel behind the heavy oak bookshelf remained functional. He punched in his personal 12-digit biometric code.
The heavy bookshelf swung outward with a grinding groan, revealing a hidden room that hadn't seen the light of day in over twenty years—a secondary vault installed by the original estate owner, Arthur’s late brother-in-law, long before Roberto bought the property.
As Roberto stepped inside with his flashlight, he illuminated rows of old metal filing cabinets and safety deposit boxes.

And standing right in the center of the vault, examining an open metal box with a flashlight of his own, was a man wearing a bespoke gray trench coat and leather gloves.
"I have to hand it to you, Roberto," the stranger said smoothly, not even bothering to turn around. "You run a tight ship. But old vaults keep old secrets. And Viktor Vance wants his property back."
