The auditorium was packed to capacity, thousands of professionals hanging on her every word. On the massive LED screen behind her, a simple, powerful quote was emblazoned in bold white letters:
"Never shrink to fit a narrative built to contain you. True strength is auditing your own life and rewriting the ending."
Katherine looked out across the sea of faces, feeling completely at peace. She remembered the dark bank floor, the cold blue monitor glow, the photograph at the wine bar, and the terrified man standing in her office pleading for a second chance.
"For a long time," Katherine spoke into the microphone, her voice resonant and unshakeable, "I believed that love meant compromise, and that success meant staying quiet. But I learned that the most important audit you will ever conduct in your life is the one within yourself."
