Chapter 14 - The Airport TrapThree hours later, a sleek black sedan pulled up to a private terminal at JFK Airport. Senator Parker and Jessica stepped out quickly, hoods pulled over their heads, rushing toward the tarmac entrance where their private charter—paid for with cash—was supposedly waiting.

Just as Jessica reached for the handle of the terminal door, the heavy glass doors swung open.

Stepping out into the crisp night air wasn't airline staff. It was a line of federal marshals, their badges gleaming under the security lights.

"Robert Parker and Jessica Parker?" the lead agent announced, his voice echoing across the tarmac. "You are under arrest for conspiracy, wire fraud, and obstruction of justice."

"No! There's a mistake!" Senator Parker yelled, lunging forward before being pinned gently against the brick wall. "We have a flight! We're leaving the country!"
