Chapter 19 - The Counter-Offensive

Three months later, Zurich, Switzerland.

The annual Aegis Global Summit was underway in a heavily guarded, ultra-exclusive mountaintop fortress. The world’s most powerful shadow financiers gathered behind thick blast glass, believing themselves entirely untouchable.

At the head of the mahogany conference table sat the mysterious chairman of Aegis Holdings—a man who had operated in absolute anonymity for thirty years.

Suddenly, every television monitor, projector screen, and digital tablet in the fortress flickered violently. The secure presentation software crashed, replaced instantly by a live, high-definition video feed streaming directly from New York.

Chloe Vance sat at the head of the Vance International boardroom table, wearing a razor-sharp black blazer, her expression an absolute mask of terrifying authority.

"Good evening, gentlemen," Chloe’s voice echoed crisply through the Aegis summit speakers, broadcast across every secure frequency they owned. "You spent decades manipulating global markets, engineering family betrayals, and burying secrets in the dark. But you made one fatal miscalculation."

The Aegis chairman leaped to his feet, his face turning pale with absolute horror as his private terminals began wiping themselves clean in real-time. "Cut the feed! Jam the signal! Who authorized this?!"

"No one authorized it," Chloe replied, her voice ringing with icy sweet vengeance. "I took it."

On the massive screens behind her, a complete financial ledger flashed—detailing every offshore account, every hidden asset, and every criminal transaction linked to Aegis Holdings over the past three decades, all routed directly to international regulatory bodies and Interpol.

"Your accounts are frozen," Chloe continued, leaning forward, her gaze locking onto the camera. "Your fortress is surrounded. And your empire is officially mine."
