Chapter 9 - The Geneva Showdown

The Geneva international financial summit hall was blindingly bright, filled with hundred-million-dollar stakeholders, international media, and the shadowy syndicate leaders who thought they had won.
At the center stage stood Julian Vance—an estranged cousin long thought dead in a shipwreck, now revealed as the true mastermind behind the corporate sabotage and Elena’s puppet master. He held the microphone, a smug, triumphant smile plastered across his face as he addressed the assembly.
"Vance International is officially dissolved," Julian announced into the microphone. "Due to unrecoverable debt defaults, effective immediately, all assets are transferred to Apex Global Holdings."
The doors at the back of the grand hall swung open with a thunderous bang.
All heads turned. Chloe walked down the central aisle alone, flanked by two federal prosecutors and a squad of Swiss federal police. She wasn't wearing her coat; her midnight-blue blazer was crisp, her stride unyielding. Behind her, projected onto the massive twenty-foot digital screen, was not a default notice—it was an unedited, real-time financial audit linking Apex Global Holdings directly to international money laundering and the assassination attempts in St. Moritz.
"You forgot one minor detail, cousin," Chloe’s voice boomed through the hall's state-of-the-art acoustics, cutting through the sudden dead silence. "Section 9 of the Vance charter dictates that no hostile takeover can be executed while a primary shareholder holds overriding voting collateral in certified government escrow."
Julian’s face twisted in sheer horror as he checked his tablet. The screens shifted instantly, showing his personal Swiss bank accounts being frozen in real-time by Interpol.

"Arrest him," Chloe commanded, pointing a finger directly at Julian.
The Swiss police moved instantly, slapping heavy steel cuffs onto Julian’s wrists as he screamed curses, dragging him off the stage in front of the entire global financial press.
