"I didn't steal that money!" Grace cried out, her voice breaking the silence of the restaurant. "I was a junior accountant at Sterling Financial! I found a money-laundering scheme three years ago. When I tried to report it, my boss set me up! They framed me, took my life, and forced me to go into hiding with Chloe!"
James felt a sickening jolt in his chest. Sterling Financial. His family's core holding company. The very company run by his uncle, Richard Sterling.
Before James could speak, the heavy glass front doors of the restaurant shattered. Heavy boots crunched on the broken glass as three armed men in tactical gear burst into the dining room.
