Chapter 4 - THE BILLIONAIRE’S REVENGEChloe screamed, burying her face into Grace’s chest. Grace held her daughter tight, bracing for the worst.

"You made a mistake coming here, Vance," James said, stepping directly into the line of fire, completely blocking Grace and Chloe.
"Get out of the way, rich kid," the mercenary sneered. "Your uncle just wants the kid and the mom to vanish so the old fraud case stays closed forever. You sign your shares over, and maybe we let you live."
James smirked—a cold, terrifying expression that looked nothing like the humble restaurant manager Grace had known for months.
"You think I’ve been hiding here for three years because I was afraid?" James said softly. He reached under the edge of the wooden counter and pressed a hidden emergency button connected directly to his private security team—a elite force he had kept on standby for years.
Suddenly, the restaurant’s heavy steel security shutters slammed down over every window and door, locking everyone inside. The lights cut out completely, plunging the room into total darkness.
Night-vision red lasers flashed through the gloom. Shouts rang out, followed by the heavy thuds of body combat. Grace squeezed her eyes shut, holding Chloe close.
When the emergency lights flickered back on ten seconds later, all three mercenaries were disarmed and pinned to the floor by four heavily armed guards in unmarked black uniforms.
James stood over the lead mercenary, holding a sleek black satellite phone.
