Chapter 6 - THE BETRAYAL AT DAWNAt 6:00 AM on Christmas morning, James woke up to an eerie silence. He walked into the penthouse living room.

The plush velvet sofa was empty. The cashmere blanket was neatly folded. Grace and Chloe were gone.
James’s heart dropped. On the glass coffee table lay a handwritten note from Grace:
James, thank you for saved us and for feeding my baby. But I can't risk Chloe's life in your war. I’m taking her and leaving the country. Please don't look for us.
"Dammit, Grace!" James slammed his fist onto the table.
He immediately whipped out his phone to track her, but before he could dial, his head security chief rushed into the room, face pale.
"Sir, we have a massive problem," the officer said. "Uncle Richard’s men intercepted Grace and Chloe at the train station ten minutes ago. They’ve been taken to the Sterling Grand Hotel—where the Christmas Gala is about to begin."
