Chapter 25 - The Unbroken Shield

Late that night, after Leo had fallen asleep upstairs and the house grew completely silent, Victoria stood at her study window looking out at the moonlit lawn. Her phone buzzed gently on the desk—not a threat from a corrupt syndicate leader, but a simple text message from Clara: Thank you for everything, Mom. Goodnight. Victoria smiled softly, typing back a short reply before locking her desk drawer containing the sealed archives of a war long won. She walked out to the hallway, switched off the antique brass lamp, and rested easy, knowing that as long as she stood on guard, no shadow would ever touch her family again.
