Chapter 3 - The Corrupt Precinct Collapses

While Dominic was being hauled away in zip-ties, a parallel tactical operation struck the municipal precinct downtown.

Captain Sean Miller—no relation to the federal agent—was fast asleep in his office when the heavy oak door was kicked open by federal marshals. Two local patrol officers who had been on Dominic's monthly payroll instinctively reached for their sidearms, but a barrage of red laser dots stopped them instantly.

“Drop your weapons! Federal Marshals!”

Captain Miller stumbled out of his chair, his uniform half-buttoned, his face pale with sudden, crushing panic. “What is the meaning of this? You need a warrant to enter this station!”

“We have all the warrants we need,” Lead Marshal Vance announced, tossing a thick sheaf of federal indictments onto Miller’s desk.

The papers detailed every bribe, every falsified police report, and every cover-up orchestrated to protect Dominic Ward's smuggling ring. Miller’s eyes scanned the document, landing on the signature at the bottom: Judge Victoria Sterling.

“She... she can't do this,” Miller stammered, his hands shaking as the marshals forced him against the wall. “We control the evidence lockers! We control the judges!”

“Not anymore,” Marshal Vance said coldly, clicking the cuffs shut around the captain's wrists. “Your boss is currently in federal custody, and your precinct is being seized as a criminal enterprise. Pack your desk, Captain. Your shift is officially over.”
