Chapter 10 - The Dawn of a New Empire

Sunrise over the Atlantic broke in a blinding explosion of gold and crimson light, burning away the remnants of the nocturnal storm.

At the edge of the Hamptons cliffside estate, the wind whipped through Elena’s long blonde hair as she stood on the veranda, sipping a cup of black coffee. Behind her, the heavy oak front door of the mansion stood slightly ajar, creaking rhythmically in the morning breeze.

From inside the house came a single, muffled sound—sharp, definitive, and final.

Elena didn't flinch. She didn't turn around. She simply watched the horizon where the sun crested the ocean waves, washing the world in a brilliant, unblemished light.

A sleek black limousine pulled up the long gravel driveway. The rear door opened, and Martha stepped out, holding a fresh leather portfolio stamped with the golden crest of Holloway-Vance Global Enterprises—the newly merged corporate conglomerate now wholly owned and operated by Elena.

Martha walked up the steps, handing the portfolio to Elena without a word.

"The international board is waiting for your opening address in Zurich, Madam CEO," Martha said respectfully.

Elena opened the portfolio, signing her name across the digital approval screen with a sleek gold pen—not with hesitation, but with the steady, unbreakable hand of a woman who had walked through fire and emerged as the flame.

"Let's begin," Elena said, turning her back on the past forever as she stepped into the car that would take her to the top of the world.
