Chapter 18 - The Master Ledger

As federal agents secured the sniper, Vance pulled a heavy, water-resistant flash drive from the assassin's tactical vest and handed it to Elena.

"This was wired to his transmission feed," Vance said, his breath pluming in the cold air. "Decrypting it required a biometric key. I think it belongs to you."

Elena inserted the flash drive into her encrypted tactical tablet. A single file unlocked automatically: THE GENESIS DIRECTORY — GLOBAL SYNDICATE MEMBERSHIP.

Scroll by scroll, the names of international politicians, billionaire industrialists, and corrupt banking executives appeared on the screen—the very shadow network that had bankrolled Grant, murdered her father, and tried to strip her of everything she loved.

It wasn't just a corporate scandal anymore. It was a global blueprint for corruption. And Elena held every single password.

"What do you want to do with this, Madam CEO?" Vance asked, watching her face in the pale moonlight.

Elena stared at the glowing screen for a long, silent moment. Then, a slow, triumphant smile touched her lips.

"Publish it," Elena said. "Every single byte. Let the entire world burn down to the studs. Because from the ashes, we are going to build something incorruptible."
