Chapter 21 - The Whispers in Geneva

Six months after the collapse of the Genesis Directory, the United Nations headquarters in Geneva hummed with international diplomacy. Security was tighter than ever; snipers dotted the neoclassical rooftops, and intelligence agents from forty nations monitored every digital gateway.
Elena Holloway-Vance stood backstage in the grand assembly hall. Dressed in an immaculate, structured ivory pantsuit with a silk capelet flowing behind her, she adjusted her diamond-encrusted lapel pin—a subtle nod to the resilience that had brought her to this global stage.
"Your security detail reports zero anomalies in the sector, Madam CEO," Martha said, checking her tablet while smoothing the collar of Elena's jacket. "However, Swiss intelligence intercepted an encrypted transmission originating from a deep-sub-level server beneath Lake Geneva thirty minutes ago."
Elena’s eyes narrowed slightly, her expression remaining ice-cold and composed. "Who was the recipient?"

"An unregistered offshore trust," Martha murmured, lowering her voice. "Registered under a name we thought was buried forever: The Estate of Arthur Holloway Sr."
Elena didn't flinch. A ghost from the past was trying to rattle her chains before she addressed the world leaders. Instead of fear, a dark, razor-sharp thrill sparked in her chest. If the syndicate thought they could resurrect themselves from the ashes, she would personally bury them in the nuclear fallout of her truth.
