Chapter 18 - THE LEGACY OF BENNETT GLOBALThe following Monday, the global headquarters of Bennett Global Enterprises hosted its annual shareholder summit.

The grand auditorium was packed to capacity with international investors, media moguls, and corporate partners. When I walked onto the stage, dressed in a sharp, midnight-blue pantsuit, the entire auditorium rose in a thunderous, three-minute standing ovation.

I stood at the central podium, looking out over the sea of faces—people who respected me, trusted me, and believed in the empire we had built together.

"Two years ago," I began, my voice clear, resonant, and unwavering as it echoed through the massive hall, "many people believed that corporate success was defined by who held the majority shares, who shouted the loudest in the boardroom, or who controlled the narrative behind closed doors."

I paused, letting my gaze sweep across the audience.

"They were wrong. True power isn't given by a title, a marriage certificate, or a corporate corner office. It is forged in the fires of adversity, built on integrity, and sustained by the refusal to ever let anyone write your story for you."

Applause erupted once more, rolling through the auditorium like rolling thunder.

I smiled, resting one hand lightly on the polished wooden podium, knowing that the little boy with the torn dress at the Bellmont Hotel was finally, completely free.
