Chapter 30 - The Eternal SilenceThe private jet climbed steadily into the starry California sky, banking gracefully toward the Atlantic before heading east toward Zurich.

I sat in the leather cabin, sipping a cup of hot green tea, watching the distant city lights fade into darkness below us.

I reached into the inner pocket of my coat and pulled out the crisp, neatly folded one-dollar bill. I unfolded it slowly, running my thumb across the George Washington portrait.

Marcus glanced over from his seat across the aisle, raising an eyebrow. "Still carrying that around?"

"Always," I replied quietly. "It’s the most valuable lesson I was ever given."

"What did it teach you?" Marcus asked, smiling faintly.

"It taught me that people who throw money and insults to prove their superiority are usually the ones standing on the edge of a cliff," I said, folding the dollar back up and sliding it securely into my portfolio. "And it taught me that true power doesn't need an audience. It just needs quiet execution."

I closed my portfolio, dimmed the cabin light, and leaned back against the headrest as the aircraft surged forward into the vast, silent night.
