Chapter 15 - The Geneva TrapThree days later, beneath the freezing, slate-gray skies of Geneva, Switzerland, the trap sprang shut.

Arthur Sterling sat in the back of a bulletproof Maybach limousine crawling through the heavy traffic near Lake Geneva. His face was pale, lined with the frantic desperation of a man watching his life's work evaporate into thin air.

"Sir, our local operative has confirmed the server location," the driver reported over the intercom. "An abandoned data-relay station near the old industrial docks."

"Move in," Arthur commanded, his voice sharp and brittle. "I want those files scrubbed, and I want Ethan Vance eliminated once and for all."

The Maybach sped up, turning sharply down a desolate, rain-slicked side street lined with rusted shipping containers and empty warehouses. The limousine pulled to a halt outside a derelict brick building marked with fading industrial signage.

Arthur’s four personal bodyguards—elite paramilitary contractors—stepped out of the lead vehicle, weapons drawn, and breached the heavy metal doors of the warehouse.

Arthur followed them inside, stepping into the cavernous, dimly lit room.

Suddenly, the heavy metal doors slammed shut behind him with a resounding crash.

CLIK-CLACK.

Bright, blinding overhead halogen floodlights snapped on instantly, bathing the entire warehouse in stark, merciless light.

Arthur threw his arm up to shield his eyes. When his vision adjusted, he froze in sheer horror.

Standing in the center of the room, leaning casually against a metal crate with an assault rifle resting across his arms, was Ethan Vance.
