Chapter 9 - The Blueprint of BetrayalDown in the archive room, surrounded by decades of classified pharmaceutical files, Ethan reviewed the automated decryption logs from the dead man's encrypted comms device.

The device had automatically synced its last outbound packet to a secure satellite relay located offshore in international waters.
Claire walked down the metal stairs, holding a sleeping twin in each arm, her face pale but resolute. "Ethan, the guard outside said that man took poison. Who are they? Who keeps coming after us?"
Ethan walked over to her, gently wrapping an arm around her shoulders. "They're remnants of a black-project my grandfather funded decades ago—Project Genesis. When I shut it down, I thought I buried all the liabilities. I was wrong."
"What do they want with the boys?" Claire asked, her voice trembling as she looked down at her sons.
"They want to control their future," Ethan said grimly, looking at the decrypted satellite coordinates glowing on the terminal screen. "Which means we aren't going to wait for them to attack again."
He turned to Marcus, who stood by the door waiting for orders. "Marcus, prep the private jet. We're flying to Zurich tonight."
May you like
Claire gasped. "Zurich? Ethan, that's where the syndicate's primary offshore holding is!"
"Exactly," Ethan said, his eyes burning with absolute determination. "We're going to cut off the head of the snake once and for all. And this time, we're bringing our family out of the shadows permanently."
