Chapter 19 - The AnniversaryA year later.

The estate grounds were draped in elegant white silk and delicate fairy lights. Families, close friends, and loyal colleagues had gathered across the sprawling lawn for an event the tabloids never thought possible: the official wedding ceremony of Ethan Vance and Claire.

They hadn't wanted a massive corporate spectacle. They wanted a celebration of survival, forgiveness, and unconditional love.

As the string quartet played a soft, timeless melody, Claire walked down the floral aisle wearing a stunning, elegant ivory dress, her eyes shining with unspeakable joy. Waiting at the altar stood Ethan, dressed in a sharp black tuxedo, holding the hands of their twin boys who served proudly as the ring-bearers in matching miniature suits.

When Claire reached the altar, Ethan took her hands in his, his eyes brimming with quiet emotion.

"I used to think strength meant building walls so high nobody could ever touch you," Ethan said softly, his voice carrying clearly to the gathered guests. "I was wrong. True strength is opening your heart, letting the right person in, and building a world worth protecting with your last breath."

Tears spilled over Claire's lashes as she smiled. "And I used to think I had to carry every burden alone, Ethan. Thank you for showing me what it means to finally be home."

The exchange of rings was sealed with a tender, passionate kiss that drew thunderous applause and cheers from everyone present.
