Chapter 6 - Code BlackEthan’s relaxed demeanor vanished in a single heartbeat. His eyes hardened into cold steel.

"Stay in this room," Ethan ordered, his voice dropping into its commanding boardroom register. "Lock the reinforced steel shutters from the inside. Do not open this door for anyone except me or Marcus."

"Ethan, what's happening?" Claire panicked, grabbing his sleeve.

"We have company," Ethan said firmly, unholstering a sleek, suppressed tactical pistol from his jacket. "Lock the door."

He sprinted down the hallway toward the master command center on the ground floor. Screens flickered to life across the wall, displaying thermal feeds from the exterior gardens.

On Camera 3, two figures in black tactical gear were scaling the outer stone wall near the West Garden, moving with terrifying professional precision. They weren't low-level thugs or paparazzi. They carried military-grade suppression rifles and night-vision equipment.

"Marcus!" Ethan yelled into his comms. "We have an active breach on the West sector! Intercept!"

"Boss, I'm already en route," Marcus’s voice came back, punctuated by the heavy racking of a shotgun. "Cameras show they bypassed the motion sensors using a localized frequency jammer. They're heading straight for the north wing!"
