The sun dipped below the Manhattan skyline, casting long, fiery ribbons of orange and purple across the clouds. I sat at my home office desk, closing the final corporate audit binder for Vanguard Capital—now successfully restructured and rebranded under my own philanthropic foundation, dedicated to helping victims of financial abuse and corporate fraud rebuild their lives.
My phone lit up on the polished mahogany wood. A new notification flashed across the screen: an encrypted message from Marcus.
"Just checked the federal transfer logs, boss. Alexander’s prison cell assignment has been finalized. Maximum security wing, block C. And Khloe has officially relocated out of state to live with her parents in Ohio, working part-time at a local diner."
I smiled to myself, locking the screen and setting the phone aside. They had sought to completely destroy me, reducing my life to a pawn in their elaborate game of greed and deception. Instead, they had unwittingly handed me the hammer, the anvil, and the absolute freedom to forge an empire entirely my own.
