Chapter 11 - THE WHISPER OF THE VAULT

The morning sun casting golden rays across the Westchester lawn couldn't fully erase the chill of what Logan had uncovered in the syndicate’s server farm. James McKenzie sat behind his heavy mahogany desk, turning a cold, notched skeleton key between his fingers—the master key to the subterranean vault beneath the old McKenzie family headquarters in Manhattan.
Rachel stepped into the study, holding two cups of black coffee, her eyes reflecting deep concern.
"Logan said you found something else in those encrypted archives," Rachel said softly, setting a cup down before him. "Something beyond Derek Patterson and the adoption ring."
James looked up, his amber eyes hardened. "There was a secondary ledger, Rachel. A partition file labeled Project Bloodline-Alpha. My father didn't just target our family; he had a network of proxies embedded in corporate legal offices across the East Coast. And according to these manifests... Tyler and Noah have an older sister."

Rachel’s breath caught in her throat. She gripped the edge of the desk, her knuckles turning white. "An older sister? No... that’s impossible. I only ever had Chloe, and then the twins..."
"Before us, Rachel," James corrected grimly, pulling a yellowed hospital intake form from a confidential file. "Sixteen years ago, before my father forced us apart, you suffered a complicated pregnancy during our secret college years. My father’s private doctors told you the baby didn't make it. They lied. They whisked her away to a private medical trust in Boston, raising her under an alias to use as ultimate leverage against our corporate holdings."
