Chapter 12 - THE SHADOW IN BOSTON

The revelation sent a shockwave through the household. When eight-year-old Chloe, four-year-old Noah, and little Tyler were playing outside with their nanny, James and Rachel held an emergency briefing with Marcus and Logan in the private library.

"Boston," James stated, tapping a digital map displayed on the wall monitor. "The medical trust was liquidated three years ago, but the corporate shell company tracking her assets leads directly to a private elite boarding academy in Massachusetts: The Ashcroft Academy for Girls. Her name on record is Elena Vance—wait, no, Elena McKenzie-Vance."

Rachel gasped. "Vance? Like Victoria Vance from the Sterling syndicate in Detroit?"

"Precisely," Logan confirmed, tapping a key on his tablet. "The Detroit and New York corporate families weren't just competitors; they traded hidden heirs like bargaining chips in asset mergers. If this girl discovers her true lineage, or if remaining syndicate loyalists get to her first to manipulate the McKenzie voting shares, she could be in grave danger."

James stood up, his coat draped over his arm. "We’re flying to Boston immediately. Marcus, prep the jet."
