Chapter 20 - The Sovereign Dynasty

Ten years later.

The grand ballroom of the Moretti estate blazed with light, filled with the elite of international finance, law, and politics. But tonight wasn't a summit of syndicates or a council of war. It was a wedding.

At the altar beneath a towering archway woven from white roses and ivy stood Leo Moretti, impeccably tailored in a custom black tuxedo, his dark eyes fixed on the grand staircase.

The string quartet transitioned into a soft, classical arrangement as Sophia Bellini descended the marble steps. She wasn't wearing a traditional veil; instead, her dark hair was swept back elegantly, accented by a small, delicate diamond pin shaped like an architectural compass. She wore a dress of white silk that mirrored the timeless, unbreakable lines of the estate she had helped design and protect.

In the front row, Rocco Moretti sat beside Elena, both watching with quiet, unshakeable pride as Sophia reached the bottom of the landing and took Leo’s hand.

There were no hidden cameras. No armed enforcers standing in the shadows with silenced pistols. The ghosts of Valentina, Julian, and the dark years of blood and betrayal had finally been buried deep beneath the limestone hills of Sicily.

As the priest began the ceremony, Leo slid a simple platinum band onto Sophia’s finger—a permanent, unalterable bond forged not by blood or fear, but by a choice made years ago in the dark hallway of a burning mansion.

When the ceremony concluded and the ballroom erupted into applause, Leo leaned down and kissed his bride, knowing that the empire they shared would never fall—because it was built by hands that knew how to survive the fire.
