Chapter 29 - The Unbroken Circle

One year later.
A gentle spring breeze swept through the open French doors of the estate’s private nursery, carrying the sweet scent of blooming jasmine from the courtyard gardens below.
Sophia stood beside a handcrafted white oak crib, looking down with a tender, protective gaze at the tiny newborn sleeping peacefully beneath a soft cream-colored blanket. The baby—a healthy, dark-haired little girl—let out a soft sigh, her tiny fingers curling instinctively into loose fists.
Leo stepped quietly into the nursery, wrapping his arms gently around Sophia’s waist from behind, resting his chin softly on her shoulder as he looked down at their daughter.
"Have you decided on a name?" Leo whispered, his voice warm against the quiet hum of the room.
Sophia reached down, adjusting the blanket with the same careful precision she had used nearly two decades ago when she first pulled Leo out of the trash behind the mansion’s kitchen area.
"Elena," Sophia said softly, her dark eyes shining with quiet emotion. "After my mother. The woman who taught us both that no matter how dark the house gets, you can always choose to bring someone out of the cold."
Leo kissed the side of her head, his arm tightening around her waist in a protective, unbreakable embrace. "Elena Moretti. It has a good ring to it. Strong enough to run an empire."

"She won't need to run an empire," Sophia smiled, turning in his arms to face him. "Because we built a home that doesn't need one."
Downstairs in the grand courtyard, Rocco Moretti stood beneath the shade of the ancient olive tree, watching the sunlight glint off the newly reinforced stone walls of the estate. He wasn't holding a gun, a ledger, or a watch. He was simply watching the world he had fought so hard to control transform into something infinitely more powerful: a legacy that would outlive them all.
