Chapter 15 - Flight Through the StormThe twin-engine Sterling Global executive helicopter tore through the turbulent night clouds, cutting a jagged path toward the city’s central communications spire. Rain lashed against the reinforced glass windshield like buckshot.

In the copilot seat, Daniel reloaded a customized data-override drive, his fingers moving with practiced military precision.
"We have roughly four minutes before Viktor’s script completes the backdoor download," Daniel said, staring at the flashing red timer on his tactical pad. "When we touch down on the rooftop helipad, expect heavy resistance. Viktor won't leave the server room unguarded."
Victoria gripped the cyclic control stick, her eyes locked on the illuminated spire piercing the stormy horizon. "I didn't spend ten years building Sterling Global into a global empire just to watch some digital terrorist tear it down from the inside."
As the helicopter hovered over the rain-slicked rooftop helipad, shadowy figures armed with tactical rifles could be seen moving behind the glass enclosure of the maintenance deck.
Daniel looked at Victoria. "Hold steady. On my mark."
"Mark!" Victoria shouted, dropping the collective pitch with expert timing.
