Chapter 17 - Dawn of a New EraThe morning sun broke through the storm clouds, casting a golden glow over the city skyline. Sterling Global’s stock prices rebounded instantly, soaring to record highs as news broke that the cyber-terrorist syndicate had been completely dismantled.

Back at the Sterling estate, the grand dining room was filled with warmth, laughter, and the smell of freshly brewed coffee.
Little Lilly sat at the head of the table, wearing a brand-new pink ribbon in her hair, happily telling Eleanor about her school science project.
Victoria stood by the French doors, watching the sunlight dance across the manicured lawn. The heavy burdens of the past year—the divorces, the hostile takeovers, the lonely nights in an empty mansion—felt like a distant lifetime ago.
Daniel walked up behind her, gently wrapping his arms around her waist. He rested his chin on her shoulder, his touch grounding and secure.
"You know," Victoria whispered, leaning back into his embrace, "the board of directors held an emergency meeting this morning."
"Oh?" Daniel raised an eyebrow. "Are they firing the mechanic again?"
"Quite the opposite," Victoria smiled, turning in his arms to look up into his striking blue eyes. "They unanimously voted to appoint a new Chief Technology Officer. Someone with a master's degree from MIT, a penchant for saving companies, and a very bad habit of wearing faded work shirts."
Daniel chuckled softly. "And what did the mechanic say to that offer?"

"He said he'd take it—provided he gets an extended lunch break every day to pick up his daughter from school."
Hook: "Deal," Daniel whispered, pulling her close and sealing the promise with a tender, passionate kiss as Eleanor smiled approvingly from across the room.
