Chapter 10 - The Ultimate Conclusion and New BeginningsViral Hook: A breathtaking rooftop showdown, a shocking sacrifice, and an unforgettable final twist that sets up an explosive legacy!

"Drop the flare, Julian! It's over!" Mia shouted, aiming her weapon dead-center at his chest from the second-floor landing.

Julian laughed hysterically, his eyes wild and unhinged. "Over? It's just getting started, little niece—or should I say, daughter?" He tossed the blazing flare directly onto the gasoline-soaked Persian rug at the base of the grand staircase.

Flames erupted instantly, roaring upward in a massive wall of fire.

"Run!" Arthur yelled, grabbing Mia's arm. But Julian lunged forward from the foot of the stairs, scrambling up the side rail like a desperate animal, lunging directly at Arthur with a concealed hunting knife.

Without hesitating, Mia vaulted over the balcony railing, grabbing Julian mid-air and tackling him hard against the marble floor just inches from the roaring flames. A fierce struggle ensued—punches thrown, breath ragged, the heat of the fire scorching their skin. With one final, decisive sweep, Mia pinned Julian’s arm behind his back and slammed his face against the floor, dislodging the knife and kicking it into the flames.

Sirens echoed right outside the front doors as half a dozen fire trucks and tactical units converged on the mansion. Firefighters flooded the foyer with high-pressure hoses, beating back the inferno in seconds.

Twenty minutes later, the smoke cleared. Julian was dragged away in heavy steel leg irons and handcuffs, screaming into the night air as federal agents swarmed the property.

The mansion was saved, save for a scorched entryway.

Outside on the front lawn, wrapped in a warm thermal blanket, Mia sat next to Arthur. The morning sun was just beginning to peek over the horizon, painting the sky in brilliant shades of gold and pink.

Arthur reached out, his hand trembling slightly, and gently touched Mia’s shoulder. "I'm sorry you had to find me this way, pumpkin."

Mia looked at him, a small, genuine smile finally breaking through her tough exterior. She leaned her head against her father's shoulder. "Takes more than a corporate psychopath and a house fire to get rid of a federal agent, Dad."
