"Negative, Dad! If we stay pinned, they'll wipe out the entire unit!" Mia yelled back over the deafening roar of gunfire.
She signaled to her tactical squad leaders, pointing toward the steep rocky ravine on the left flank. "Covering fire! Let's move up, double time!"
Darting from boulder to boulder, Mia utilized every ounce of her elite federal training. A mercenary popped up from behind a ridge with an assault rifle, but Mia anticipated the movement. She fired two precise shots, neutralizing the threat before rolling behind a concrete barrier as a hail of return fire chipped away at the stone.
