"We've been compromised!" Mia shouted, drawing her weapon as heavy footsteps echoed down the glass-paneled hallway outside their briefing room.
The frosted glass door shattered in a shower of white-hot sparks as an explosive breach charge blew the lock clean off its hinges. Through the thick plumes of white smoke, four heavily armed figures wearing tactical black body armor and gas masks poured into the room, assault rifles raised.
"Get down, Dad!" Mia screamed, tackling Arthur behind a heavy steel conference table just as a barrage of suppressed gunfire chewed through the drywall above them.

Arthur, despite his age, kept his cool. He grabbed a heavy metal fire extinguisher from the wall bracket, pulled the pin, and hurled it blindly across the room toward the intruders. As the canister bounced and hissed white fog everywhere, Mia leaped from cover, firing two precise shots that disabled the primary attacker's weapon and sent him crashing to the floor.
"Move, move, move!" Mia yelled, grabbing her father by the arm and sprinting out the back service exit toward the emergency stairwell.
