"Dad, get down here. You need to see this," Mia called out, her voice echoing off the concrete walls.
Arthur descended the metal stairs carefully, his eyes widening in horror as he took in the wall of screens. Dozens of live security feeds flickered on the monitors, showing the private homes, offices, and bedrooms of top politicians, judges, and rival corporate CEOs.
"My god..." Arthur whispered, staring at a folder open on the main terminal. "Eleanor wasn't just trying to take over my company. She was building a shadow empire of extortion."
Mia furiously typed on the encrypted mechanical keyboard, downloading the core database onto her secure federal drive. "Look at this file, Dad. The judge presiding over your corporate merger last year? Eleanor forced him to rule in our favor by threatening to release photos of his secret gambling debts. And look at the police chief—she had audio recordings of him covering up a hit-and-run."
Just as the progress bar on the screen hit 99% complete, a sharp, automated alarm began to wail through the bunker.
