Chapter 25 - The Sovereign Empire

The private jet touched down softly on the San Diego tarmac, welcoming Victoria home after a grueling, triumphant month of international expansion meetings. As she stepped out into the warm California air, she felt an overwhelming sense of profound peace.

She had walked away from a burning marriage with nothing but a signature and her sharp mind. She had let her betrayers destroy themselves with their own deception, refusing to lower herself to their level of malice. And out of the ashes, she had built a sovereign empire where her word was law and her vision was absolute.

Her phone buzzed in her pocket. She pulled it out, seeing a simple text message from David waiting at the terminal: “Dinner is ready, and the queen of the world has a home waiting for her.”

Victoria smiled, locked her phone, and walked toward the waiting car with her head held high. The divorce papers she signed years ago were no longer a symbol of an ending—they were the charter of her freedom. The past was completely buried, the debt was paid in full, and her future stretched out infinitely before her, entirely hers to command.
