Chapter 4 - The Housekeeper’s Secret DossierFederal holding room B was stark, illuminated by a harsh fluorescent tube that hummed with a low, maddening frequency. I sat across from Aria Chen, staring down at an open Manila folder filled with documents that made my head spin.

"Rosa Martinez isn't just a housekeeper, Mr. Calloway," Aria said, sliding a glossy photograph across the table.

It was an old ID badge from the Swiss Federal Banking Commission, dated over a decade ago. The face on the badge was younger, her hair dark and un-grayed, but the sharp, piercing eyes were unmistakable.

"Rosa Martinez... or rather, Dr. Rosa Maria Vance-Martinez," Aria corrected gently. "Former senior forensic auditor and investigator for international financial crimes in Zurich. She retired early after her husband was targeted by a corrupt corporate cartel in South America."

"Rosa?" I breathed, my mind refusing to connect the quiet woman who folded my laundry with an elite financial detective.

"When your construction empire started booming five years ago, Rosa noticed strange anomalies in your ledger entries—tiny, almost imperceptible discrepancies routed through shell companies in the Cayman Islands," Aria explained. "She tried to warn you through anonymous memos, but when you ignored them, she applied for the housekeeping position to watch your back from the inside."

"She stayed... to protect me?"

"She stayed because she knew your partners—and your wife—were planning a hostile corporate execution," Aria said, flipping to the next page. "And last night, when the police raided your house, they didn't find those millions because you hid them. They found them because Rosa had spent six months tracking down Vanessa’s hidden accounts, withdrawing the liquid capital, and stacking it in your guest room as bait."

"Bait?" I asked.

"To force the federal prosecutors' hand," Aria said with a smirk. "By planting the stolen cash right where the corrupt partners expected you to keep it, she tricked them into calling the police themselves, triggering an immediate warrant. Which gave us the legal right to seize every single server in Vanessa and Harold’s joint holding companies."
